Can someone remove the black boxes from the exported PDF?

Applied redactions replace image pixels before PDF generation. The exported file contains the covered page image, rather than a removable overlay. Review the output and ensure every sensitive area is covered.

Does this delete my original document?

No. Your original file and local undo history are retained on your device. Clear saved scans after exporting when working on a shared device.
